Name: | Kip |
---|
Name: Kip (Kernel Integration Processor)
User: Everett Green, aka 'evergreen107'
Program classification: Basic
Function: background auto-updater, program/system functionality maintenance.
Appearance: Short, slender, lightly spiked hair that changes colour involuntarily based on mood.
Clothing: A dark gray long-sleeve tunic and trousers, sturdy boots, and a thin, lighter gray coat usually rolled up at the sleeves.
Circuit Color: Seafoam green
Chosen form of self-defence: Run away. Kip did not possess a disk prior to entering the Free Grid, and is woefully undertrained in using it as a weapon.
Kip was a program from a modern personal home computer, completely separate from the world of Encom and the Grid. He’s never had an identity disk, because his system never needed to equip its full population with external memory as functioning weaponry. There was no MCP, no Clu, no Isos, just the ever-present and benevolent, unassuming existence of his User, evergreen107. Imagine Kip's surprise then, when he walked into an I/O tower one morning, and walked out to find his world had vanished before his eyes, leaving the Free Grid in its wake.
One thing's for sure; this probably isn't the best time to panic.
No, I'd say now is the perfect time to panic!
